Kimber`s Restaurant in Gibsonville

My wife and I went with friends for dinner. It was a classic family run business. The food was great. We all ordered something different and all happy. This is a going back to again and again place to eat.

Service was great nothing special about the food. Will not go again. Very expensive.

My husband & I have been customers for years. Healthy selections, grilled salmon or grilled chicken are the best!! Great atmosphere!

French onion soup not good no flavor tasted like dish water. Salad good. Tea good.

Love the early bird menu. Several entered to choose from. Rolls are so good! Mashed potatoes are "real", and are excellent! Staff is always courteous. Chopped steak and pasta dishes are wonderful! Located in an old Red & White grocery store building, which is where the current owner worked when he was a teenager! Love this place!

Best lobster bisque around. Cheap appetizers and family owned. Never had to wait no matter what night. Also they have early bird specials

I rarely give the 5thStar because I believe 5 means nothing could have been better. The Salmon was great and the Chef suggested their house dressing with it. WOW .....& our server Mai....She is young BUT a heart to serve.... Therefore the 5 stars.

The food tastes like it was microwaved

My food was excellent. Decent prices for a slightly upscale restaurant. Service was slower than I like but not terrible.

This place is awesome. Our party got a friendly greeting when entering the restaurant. A very pleasant place with friendly folks. Our waitress Rebecca was wonderful...she to us specials and took our order. The food was hot and delicious. It was amazing. Such a wonderful place to eat for great good at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place for dinner.

We had a great time celebrating my parents 65th Anniversary. I had the grilled chicken and pasta with side salad and vinaigrette dressing. Delicious!

Had a great time meeting my classmates from high school. Our servers are nice and the food was good, cant wait to go back

Love this place! Small but very nice people!! More of a fancy restaurant! Love the chicken Alfredo!!! Great service! Do except larger groups! We had a group of 13 and they fit us in perfectly!

Steak was very good, kids enjoy the chicken tenders, wife had shrimp that was tasty as always

Fantastic! My wife had the Crispy Duck and it was wonderful. I had an off the menu chicken schnitzel. So tender and flavorful. We will be back!

The best prime rib

Both the food and the service were great. Kimbers opens at 4:30 Tuesday through Saturday. There is an early bird special from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Meals will average $15 and up, but they are worth it. The restaurant shows its age, but is has been well cared for. The setting is picturesque and peaceful. There are no TVs blaring. Music is softly playing in the background. The owner is still involved in the day-to-day processes.

This has been my wife and my "go to" restaurant for decades. Our birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions is always the place we go to celebrate. The marinated filet is the best steak I've ever had. You can cut it with your fork! The bacon wrapped scallops are our favorite appetizer. Service is excellent. I would give it ten stars if it was an option. BTW, those comments that it "needs updating"; this is the south and we enjoy the quaint and simple atmosphere. Love Kimbers! Taking my wife for her birthday tonight.

First time visiting this establishment. The decor was a tad dated. Our server was well prepared and answered all questions. We ordered and wait wasn't long. The food oh my it was fabulous. Will definitely return and spread the news of this hidden gem.

Very good food, terrific service, fast, and friendly, and very reasonable prices. I had the prime rib and baked potatoe, my wife had the shrimp scampi, with salads. we both eat every bit, and had a wonderful evening, looked like a great place for a romantic evening dinner. Julie was our server and she was amazing!

Great food and service

The total ideal restaurant experience!! Staff catered to us completely with super kind service and wonderfully prepared rib eye dinners with all the fixings...the coffee was superb for not being much of a coffee drinker. Just lovely table settings and beautiful surroundings throughout. Grateful for such welcomed and outstanding dining.

Very very poor service. Waitress did not know how the food was prepared. Waitress never check on us filled glasses with out asking. Received food ordered prime rib med came was cooked correctly but was cold. Sent it back came out again was cold. Went to pay the bill they took a couple of dollars off and said thank you. This was recommended place to eat. I would not take any one their. I wanted how many other people get cold food bad service and they take your money

The food was great and very friendly staff

Food is always good and service is good but priced higher than I like to pay. It is clean and relatively quiet so I do come in about once per month. I would consider this better than most casual restaurants but not really fine dining.

We think it is only good for steaks, potatoe, and side salad, And not very often. Only out of convenience will we shadow door. Needs remodeled extremely!! They better hurry! Stuck in 1975!
